Get To Know Me

You don’t need anyone’s approval to change your life. This was a phrase that repeatedly went through my head whenever I would second guess my own opinion. I had to learn to lead my life with confidence and not with hesitance. I had to learn to overcome mental health struggles, physical hurdles, and try to manage raising two neurodiverse children on my own and with absolutely no guidance.

I have learned to navigate the uncomfortable spaces that were difficult to balance, but I somehow made it through and grew my resilience as I climbed out of those spaces. I always felt as though I was made to do more than manage my caseload as a Social Worker. I wanted to help people that wanted to be helped. The people that were also climbing out of their ashes while managing a household and raising kids. We are the phoenixes rising from the ashes.

I have had 2 other businesses that failed, but I kept trying to see if something would stick before fully giving up. My blog posts are here to encourage and inspire others on their journey towards success. I love that I have fine-tuned my vision for my business. When I started my YouTube channel I knew I wanted to help high achievers make 12-week action plans in order to win in household management and feel less overwhelmed. There is true joy that I experience when I help others rise up.

It took a lot for me to get to this place, but I learned that anything is possible with perseverance.

This is how I got to this point in life:

2018 - my brother died and I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. I also started therapy for the first time. I applied to graduate school to get my master’s in social work with an accelerated program.

2019- I focused fully on graduate school.

2020- Started and closed my first candle business and homeschooled my children because of the pandemic and graduated with my master’s degree in social work.

2021- My son was diagnosed with autism, and I had to put the kids into public school. I started a homeschool blog and a YouTube channel for homeschooling.

2022- I took a lot of time in nature and continued with the homeschool blog.

2023- I got divorced and then met and fell in love with my soulmate. I started using my Social Work degree in the workforce instead of blogging. I had a pivotal moment when I realized the vision and mission for my life.

2024- I started another candle business and had a lot of health struggles this year. I was in and out of hospitals often.

2025- I sold a few copies of a poetry book I wrote in 2011 and things were starting to pick up with the candle business, but there were still greatly inconsistent sales. I was feeling the weight of being a Social Worker, business owner, and a mom. I was getting burnt out and had a mental health scare. I circled back to the mission and vision I had for my life back in 2023.

2026- I closed the candle business and quit my job to work remote part time, so that I can grow my personal brand and YouTube channel. I felt as though I had a story that I wanted to share. I did a big pivot from my homeschooling content to household management and planning and organizing techniques for the overwhelmed people. I started my blog, By Cynthia Lynnette.
